Uranium adsorption dynamics on a Diphonix thin film.
Film prepared by fixing finely ground Diphonix with an epoxy resin on both sides of a Polymethyl-metacrylate sheet.
Sample is 80 ml tap water spiked with uranyl nitrate solution, 1.12 Bq 234 U and 1.12 Bq 238 U. ( units ) pH lowered to 2.5 with nitric acid.
Counted with a 400 mm 2 silicon dectector at 6 mm distance in air. Count rate is rate in energy window 2000 keV to 5000 keV.
